A 33 year old Muslim woman has denounced ex Ceuta Vice President Pedro Gordillo for sexual abuse while he was in office. Sr Gordillo quit his post two weeks ago after a video surfaced of the PP leader offering political favours for sex to an unidentified woman, believed to be the complainant.
The woman claims that she has denounced Sr Gordillo as "otherwise he will escape justice" and said that on several occasions Sr Gordillo touched her inappropriately. She even filmed one of the attacks but this video has apparently since been deleted.
The woman, who apparently is a long standing PP member, said that she was introduced to Sr Gordillo after she lost her last job and was struggling to look after her two children. She said that Sr Gordillo promised her "her dream job" evaluating housing stock in the province if "she in turn would do something for him", but he never actually employed her.
"Every time I visited him he would lock his office door and kiss me. He would become like a man possessed. He kept grabbing me, abusing me and kept demanding sex".
Despite the attacks, his promises to give her a job kept her coming back to see if the job had become available. Eventually, unable to take it, she broke down and confessed what was happening to a family member who belongs to the Guardia Civil.
With the help the officer and a local journalist she agreed to return to the office and tape proceedings. The tape apparantly recorded how Sr Gordillo forced the woman to perform fellatio on him.
On the 27th of October the phone was given to the journalist to put onto a CD. "This will interest Juan Vivas (President of Ceuta) and let him get rid of Gordillo" is what the journalist is alleged to have said.
At first the journalist refused to return the mobile, but eventually returned the mobile to the Guardia Civil officer. However, the phone's memory had been wiped. The CD which was also handed over was blank. Just a few days later, Vivas forced Gordillo to quit, allegedly in exchange for not investigating the matter. Sr Gordillo, his wife and two children have since vanished and are believed to be in Andalucia at a family home.
The woman, at the end of her tether, has now decided to go public with the story and reported the matter to the Police.
The PSOE have referred the matter to the Anti corruption Prosecutor. Sr Vivas, when asked if he had seen the video, refused to answer and has also refused to speculate on the whole incident, saying only that for him, Sr Gordillo's resignation was sufficient "unless it can be proved he committed a crime".
