Four local police in the municipality of Mijas, Malaga, were arrested this weekend for drug dealing.
The Guardia Civil arrested the police officers while they were on duty and in uniform. The Guardia Civil found 15 kilos of hashish in one of the officer’s patrol cars and also searched lockers at the police station and the officers’ homes.
Mijas council issued a statement saying that the “behaviour of a few isolated individuals should not sully the work of the rest of the police force who carry their duties honourably and efficiently”.
