The mayor of Carratraca, a tiny municipality in the province of Malaga, resigned yesterday after he refused to process some 100 court orders against buildings deemed to be irregular in the town. Many of the court orders could result in serious fines or the demolition of the buildings in question.
Óscar Roman, of the Izquierda Unida party, has been mayor of Carratraca for 10 years and his decision has left the town without a mayor for the moment.

I am not communist but it shows to me that the Izquierda Unida party has the courage to stand up against measures that only will cause ,apart from all the misery for the owners, more hardship in this region where the economy is shot anyway due to the mismanagement of the Junta.
Now we only need some baddies to follow suit.. Ready boys?
Okay 1 and a 2 and a 3 please stepdown mr Zapatero..you really have become mr Bean.. yes and now please resign Luis Capparros for misleading us and last but not least please go away sñr Griñan ..preseident of the Junta de Andalucia.. you can not be trusted.
Hail to mayors that dare to sacrifice themselves in order to show the Junta up.. why have the forums started calling the Psoe .. the "demolition party"?
